I recently sent off notes to two members AFFER working out a deal here on the BST. One person sent over 5 cards, the second just completed a 14 card transaction. I’ll paraphrase what someone wrote here: “I am merely a caretaker of these cards...” I gather I am curating my now 4 and half year old’s future collection. I figure adding a little note on who possessed the cards previously would make them a tad more “real”.
The McGraw “finger in air” could be called the “Josh WazyWazoo” card in my collection. The Armbruster can be noted as acquired from the Justin of the Monster Podcast. Do you guys note the dates acquired? The “collection” you acquired your purchases from? One more thing; don’t want to start a separate thread - parting with cards. I have never traded a card, sold a card. There are a few doubles in the collection. Two cards that I’m not “in love with”. But parting with them doesn’t cross my mind. Does anyone else here have that issue? |
