It's probably happened but never seen this before, one women's semi-final and then final played on the same day, two hours apart, due to rain cancelling the semi yesterday. Two days before, one of the quarterfinal matches started so late it didn't end until 3 AM. The Russian player who prevailed in the semi obviously was exhausted and got flattened in the final, but the whole thing is tainted. The American Jessica Pegula who has a knack for falling short at the end of tournaments won, but I doubt anyone will give her much credit under the circumstances.
