| Need Help…..is this Authentic

Recently , I have been working filling the gaps in my T206 collection and came upon one I need for sale. Price is right, etc, and it is even in an SGC slab. I buy mostly raw, and have been working on this set for 30 plus years, but something about this card gives me pause. I asked the seller for clearer pictures, which they did no problem. Aside from the ink stain on the back and left side of the card, and that is offset , not centered, the card seems remarkably clean. After reading several posts here , I just want to make sure before I purchase this, so any thoughts or guidance will be appreciated. I’m not saying the card isn’t authentic, but I thought I’d ask here. The border to me seems very white , again, let me know and thank you! Sorry about the blurry back photos, that’s all I have on that. SORRY, I MEANT THIS GO IN A DIFFERENT PLACE AND DON’T KNOW HOW TO MOVE IT OR DELETE…..SORRY Last edited by JJ McGraw; 01-30-2025 at 09:11 AM. |

Thanks Mike……I guess I’m used to “beaters” with wear and tear or “character” as we say. I appreciate the quick response. As I said , the ink stain doesn’t bother me and I feel this card has good color and will display nicely.

Not an expert by any stretch , but intuitively not sure why someone would switch that card to that holder. I would gamble authentic.

Very good point Thomas , and I went to the SGC site to check the number , it is the card. The seller was great and actually gave me an additional 5% discount. Bought the card , it is the last McGraw I needed in the T206 set. Thank you for your input, this is the greatest collector site around as the members are willing to help and guide folks. Pretty awesome! |

Mike , I'm 18 cards away from finishing my T206 Set, and somehow McGraw with Cap is one of the few I need also ... funny how that works. Great purchase ... now crack that guy out of his case and let him breathe.

That card looks real to me. Clearer pics would be helpful but I personally wouldn’t be concerned.
