near set of 1976 Hostess. 130 different… 87% complete and all the main stars are here. If anything, the stars I pulled out and pictured separately are better than the overall commons. Of the stars not shown…the Rose, Rice and Tony Perez are really just fillers…not at all like the ones shown separately in the pictures.

Would be a fun set to upgrade and finish. I would say it averages VG. some lesser, some better. A fair number still have lots of dotted lines visible.

How were these Hostess cards released? With individual snack cakes or only in boxes? And if the latter, were they issued in strips of several cards?

Pretty sure these were all issues as box bottoms in panels of three. You could then cut around each individual card along the black lines/dots. Not sure if these or the Twinkie versions ever came inside the actual product

I am sure there are far more knowledgeable folks on here. I did see another poster has some autographed ones from 1976 listed and they are in panels
