Default 1949 indians action photos

I have a few of these still sealed, my question is if all of them come with the satchel Paige photo as the one that I have that is opened is missing a few photos.

Yes, a complete set should include Paige.

well I'll leave them sealed, a guy at a local auction bought half of them and ran out of money to buy the rest so I have about 8 of them sealed. He listed his for $250 a pop and they sold as quick as he listed them.

I am not trying to rain on a parade, but I will add this note of caution: Cleveland photo packs were not sold sealed; they were sealed when mailed to a customer who ordered through the mail. So if sealed ones have addresses on the envelope, I'd breathe easier (despite the fact that it makes little to no sense to see a lot of mailed packs sealed, because why wouldn't the buyers have opened them?). But if it's a clean envelope and it is sealed, assume it weas sealed at a later date.

interesting, I may just have to open one. What's the worst that could happen Also I am wondering why the satchel paige photos all seem to grade at 5 or less. only two in the psa pop above 5. I'm guessing because they were mailed like you said and only a pack that has not been mailed could contain a higher grade.

Photo-pack photos get hammered by TPGs, especially PSA. I’ve pulled examples out of packs that had never been opened (or mailed) and really scrutinized the ones I submitted. Most came back 2s or 3s. It’s pretty comical. And it’s a rigged game.

I agree, I had two beautiful 1947 Jackie Robinsons that I expected to grade 7 or 8 and they both graded 4. I also submitted two beautiful 1948 Paige and they got a 3 and a 4.

You have to have an in to get a high grade on these large photos.

The only reason I would open them is to verify that a Paige is inside and/or that a complete set is within. Professional grading would not factor into my decision whether to open them.
