1928-29 Star candy card Question??

I have several 1928 star candy cards which are on thin paper stock.. I have a Left Grove that is on THICK paper stock.. Does it make sense that it would be thick??
The card is the same size and color shade as the others but the paper stock is thick??

Are the 1929 cards thick??

any thoughts from someone..
