Prices from the mid 1980's
Posted By: KBR
I was going through my three volumes of Lew Lipset's Encyclopedia of Baseball Cards (still the best reference books in the hobby) recently and happened to look at the "Price Guide" that was at the end of each book. Just for giggles I will post a some of the prices. All prices listed are for an Excellent to Mint condition card for 19th century tobacco and T cards and Excellent for E cards. |

Another interesting thing is the relative values between cards. Then an N142 Delahanty was nearly three times an Anson in Uniform. Today the Anson might be ten times the Delahanty. Some cards have appreciated greater than others. |
