Default 1957 Topps Advertising Strip - Putnam

Here's an interesting card I picked up - 1957 Topps Duane Putnam - but not so fast. Check out the back. This must have been cut from a 3-card advertisement strip. I've seen ad strips for other Topps years/sets, but not 1957. Has anyone seen one from this year uncut? I'm just wondering if the strip was vertical or horizontal. Looks like it was the top card on a vertical strip to me.

There's a picture of a full 3-card salesman's sample here. It has Al Dorow on top.

Very cool...thanks!

Funny that the back on that sample shows the back of card #26 Ollie Matson on the bottom, but the Matson card front is not on the front of the panel.

I wrote an article on the 57 Toops set for Gridiron Greats a few months ago, I had an example of a different salesman sample with Elroy Hirsch on the back.

Love that set!
