Card has no back

Hey there collectors. I have this 1974 Topps card of Ryan & Seaver, represented as the 1973 Strikeout Leaders. The card number in the set is #207. There is no information printed on the reverse. Anybody ever see this before? Effect on card desirability.

It is a cool printing error. Most would not buy it because it is an error card. Then there are us crazy error card and player collectors who will and have paid a premium for similar cards. If for sale I would list it in the $1 auction section. I know I would place some good bids for it as will others.

I’ve seen similar cards before, though not this particular example. They’re somewhat uncommon; however, they are typically only collected by a small portion of hobbyists. To those collectors, they’re quite desirable.

If your question is in regards to the value (premium, multiplier, etc.) these cards usually carry, it’s not tremendously significant. Cards like this do carry a premium, sure. Just not nearly the premium most sellers place on them. Star power helps, though. It opens the pool of prospective buyers up a bit. Player collectors who otherwise wouldn’t chase print errors will occasionally pick up cards like this.

Error card and player collectors aren’t crazy…it’s everybody else that’s off their rocker.

Ditto to the auction idea.

With Ryan and Seaver, I could easily see it going for $50.
