Default Work-Serees Playing Card Game

I have this card game called “work-serees”, that could be from any decade, and I am looking for any information or possible value. My guess is ~$50 but if it’s rarer than I think it could be worth more. Looks to be in unplayed condition though a few cards do show some toning. Thanks in advance for any help!

Default Best guess

Best guess is 1925-1945 era. Games like this without players or teams but rather “generic” are not highly sought after and usually sell for less than the $50 you had mentioned. Interestingly, sometimes the instructions sheet has some MLB or card related ads that can be better than the set itself. Nice find. BTW it’s “Worl-Serees” kind of a rip off of World Series. Where are the lawyers??? LOL

It looks like the directions were copyrighted in 1938 by a Keith Johnstone of Des Moines IA.
