Default 1955 Koufax PSA 1

Why are these going for so much?
https://m.ebay.com/itm/1955-Topps-12...EAAOSw3bxa~wPu

https://m.ebay.com/itm/1955-Topps-123-Sandy-Koufax-Brooklyn-Dodgers-RC-Rookie-HOF-PSA-1/372309625542?hash=item56af620ac6:g3wAAOSw945a~wQ b

I could sell one in this price range if anyone is interested.

Looks like the same two bidders running up the price on both of those.

I'd say they are either being run up intentionally or people are thinking they are still worth what they were back in the summer of 2016?

Honestly something doesn’t seem right with these. I helped my buddy get a psa 2 back in March. It was Best Offer at $249.99. They settled at $215 and eBay was doing 15% coupons when they made the deal

Unfortunately this is sometimes Probstein's game... keep an eye on these auctions and I wouldn't be surprised if suddenly the top bidder retracts their bid, and then whoever was the back bidder (who got caught up seeing where the top bid is) is suddenly thrown into high bid and way overpaying.

I just bought a nicely centered 1955 Koufax PSA 6 about a month ago for a touch over $1k. so this is especially insane with $880 for a 1.5?!?!

And poof.... just like I predicted the high bidder at $880 has retracted his bid on the PSA 1.5 and the high bid is the poor guy that went to $860....

Also picked up really well centered SGC 80 last month for $935.... High retracts bid - FFS - Unbelievable

It's on my list of cards I want to acquire over the next year, but I think I should find a nice 5 for $500. It's a pretty easy card really.
