British tobacco for trade
Posted By: Geno
Is anyone interested in British cigarette cards? The subjects are incredibly diverse, so if you are interested in something in particular, let me know. I would like to trade for any pre-war beaters you have lying around, especially T202s (even end and center panels that have been seperated are fine). If there is any interest, I may go to a card show in London this weekend to have a look around... |

I'd be interested in any Irish themed cards, especially Hurling Players. There are a few sets from the 20's, possibly earlier. |

You're going to be surprised at how cheap some of the Brit tobacco sets from the 30's are selling for. There are a lot of interesting subject matters covered. One set that is pretty cool is Engineering Wonders. That set is cheap but it's pretty nice (if you like that kind of stuff). |

There are a bunch of golf issues, both with golfers and with courses. Here's a couple courses from a Wills 1924 issue. The cards are bigger than standard cigarette cards - unfortunately they are a bit rough. They would normally go for about $15 apiece over here, but that's if they were in nicer condition. $10 ppd ought to cover this pair, or a pre-war baseball beater. The cards are The 17th Approach at Gleneagles and The 5th Green at Ganton. If you are interested in them, let me know... |
