What's Your Monster Number?
This thread is for T206 collectors. Your Monster Number is the number of unique cards you own out of the set of 524 with the following rules:
240 points for Honus Wagner 80 points each for Plank, Magie, and Doyle (NY NAT'L) 1 point each for everyone else The highest Monster Number is therefore 1000. A few notes: Duplicate copies don’t increase your Monster Number, although you’re welcome to post additional sets. For example, if someone has 5 Ty Cobb T206 cards, two red portraits and one each of the others, they have a Monster Number of 4. Their second set has a MN of 1. For purposes of this thread, backs don’t matter. Sweet Caporal counts just the same as Drum. We’re only focused on the fronts here. If you’d like to take part in the fun, just post your Monster Number in this thread. We’re going by the honor system here; it’s not necessary to “prove” you’re telling the truth. However, if you’re lying about it - and the board finds out - we’re likely to ridicule you in perpetuity. Net54 never forgets. One last thing: posting pictures of your T206 cards is highly encouraged. From high-grade slabbed copies to raw cards missing several pieces…all T206 are welcome here.

I fell in love with the T206 set back when I was a kid at a card show and saw one in person for the first time over thirty years ago. My monster number is 11 and slowly climbing. I am always looking to pick up clean PSA copies if anybody is looking to sell.

New to the Monster. I had the Reds team set for awhile and decided to focus my collecting on a few favorites (Bernie Kosar, Al Oliver, anything Cleveland Browns) and one big item. So at the young age of 50 I decided to give t206 a go. 6 months later and 84 cards in, I couldn’t be happier. I only wish I started a long time ago.

My number is 396…….hoping to hit the 400 mark soon. On the photo of my graded T206’s ,I inadvertently put in 2 that don’t belong, as that is where they are kept, so disregard the Strip card of Harry Hooper and the E-90 of Hal Chase. The rest of the boys are in an album organized by team.
What a GREAT hobby this is and that goes for the forum as well.
