A bit of Giants paper ephemera. I liked that Bobby Bonds' wife (Barry's mom) was part of the fashion show. Giants won that day, too....on their way to the NL West title.

Picked up this stereoview recently. Circa 1880. Note the "manager" holding a dog.

Nice stuff! Those Safe Hit labels are very colorful and reasonably priced because I guess there was a find of them down in Texas I believe. I think i may have one on a crate. That stereo view could be in the baseball pics with dogs thread too. My eyes must be playing tricks on me because that dog looks like a pig to me lol

Picked up the top blue bat. Nothing special but since I have around 40 different Wade Boggs store models it is rare to find one I don't already have.

Those are mine. I am just putting the family back together.
Also hoping someone says " Hey I have a BLANK colored one" I have not seen before. Always looking for a Boggs bat I don't have.

Well, it ain't baseball but I was very pleased to land this 1948 Indy 500 pit badge with backer. Mauri Rose took his third trophy.

And these mags commemorating two of his wins:

Very excited for my latest pickup. Pittsburgh Pirates 1979 World Series trophy that was given to a front office employee. I’ve wanted one of these for years and happy that I was able to buy it.

When I saw "mrozie", I knew it would be good. Didn't know it would be that good!

I posted the story in the main page about this find, but thought it was appropriate to post the photos of the highlights here.

Thanks to another board member (huge shout out to Peter F) I was tipped off to a local Michigan Auction at the end of July which featured several lots originating from the estate of Tommy Bridges. The live auction was actually closing while I was on a flight back from the West coast, but I placed some strong early bids and my wife logged in and placed some live bids for me - so while I didn't clean sweep all the lots as I wanted, I did win many and was able to add hundreds of new items to my Tommy Bridges collection. I've been crazy busy with work this month, so I didn't even really get a chance to go through the items until today. I'm extremely happy to add hundreds of his personal photos, scrapbooks, effects, correspondence, and much more. Everything from his service related documents to his daughter's report cards. It will be awhile before I can catalog to all, but I pulled a couple items out to scan tonight so I'll share some here. And once again, many thanks to Peter F for tipping me off to the auction as I've been so busy lately I likely would have missed it.

Happy Collecting All!

Fantastic pickups Steven! Awesome stuff- congrats!

BTW, Peter Fishman, the collector that tipped off Steven, is a true Mench.
It amazes me how he has helped out many of us in the hobby build our own collections...
