1960s NFL Coca Cola Caps

I recently purchased about 200 of the 1960s NFL Coca Cola caps. However, I came across an oddity that I can�t seem to find information on. I have a Gale Sayers but the cap is spelled Gale Sayres. I�ve scoured the internet for two days but cannot find any info.

Does anybody have any information they can share?
