The 1890 Pittsburgh Alleghenys Book just came in
Just got in this book which I’m looking forward to reading. I know it took a little time to produce and looks like John Dreker’s hard work, is now complete. Thanks for the quick shipping and I will post more on it after I dive in.

It was a ton of research, but it was a topic I always wanted to take a deep dive into and I shared almost everything I found. I work for a Pirates site that has ranked prospects since 2009, so I did this fun article as part of the book announcement, ranking the 30 rookies the team used that year, basing it more on where they were as prospects before their debut, with a little bit of career results factored in. https://history.pittsburghbaseball.c...gh-alleghenys/

Please check out my books on baseball history. They include the bio of star second baseman Dots Miller. A book featuring 20 Moonlight Graham players who got into just one game. Another with 13 players who were with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the regular season, but never played a game.
