Charles Mullen Conlon photo blue stamp
This Conlon photo of Charles Mullen dated 1914 has the Conlon Evening Telegram stamp in blue. I picked it up in a recent Love of the Game auction. I have no reason to doubt that it is what it is, but I had generally understood that blue stamps were an indication that it is likely bad.
Given the other attributes of the reverse and the obscurity of Mr. Mullen I have a hard time believing there is anything wrong with this, but thought someone more expert might want to weigh in. Talk about editorial mark-ups!

The blue stamp you have is fine. The fake one is in a box.

Charlie Mullen had a cool resume. Wouldn't call him obscure. He was a high school teammate of Ten Million in Seattle. He was the guy whose job was taken by Wally Pipp whose job was taken by you know who. Has a T210 and a few Zeenuts.
