|  A picture ( or two ) says a thousand words ::

			Frankie The Crow Crossetti at Spring training camp in St. Pete , F L A , 1936: . ..And then ten years later , this gem appears in the 1946 Sports Exchange series and winds up in my Hank mancave : .. .Coolest job in the world in those days had to be the sports pages photographer . Batboy was awesome too I imagine. ..It's nice to stumble across stuff like this ; the clipping is from a kid's thick homemade scrapbook of nothing but the 1936 baseball season , in amazing detail. I'm passing it on to Tim N , for his reference department . Hi Tim. .. |

			Without even having to leap or stretch! Great Texas Tommy card, Leon, especially the condition of it! Here's Jumpin' Joe Judge from the 1931 Senators team issue:

			Not sure why Cronin is reaching with his non-glove hand, but it’s a stretch none-the-less: But the prize for the best hops has got to go to “Jumpin’ Joe” Gordon: Pee-Wee comes in a close second with his leap: Bill Terry and Stan Musial want in on the action as well:
