I sure hope they start the air conditioning right now. Last time in Chicago I sweated most of the time. I think I read months ago, they put in a new system. Sure hoping. It's about to start baking outside.

Early forecast is showing pretty favorable weather for summer with mid 70s-low 80s. That should help The A/C stay ahead of things

(I’m not going this year, but…) I think I would opt for the heat over the extremely crappy WiFi I experienced in Cleveland. At one point I had to go all the way outside and walk deep into the parking areas to briefly get a 5G signal to lookup a comp…

Sorry but there’s just no excuse for that in 2025. People know how to wire large venues for fast / not difficult WiFi access for large crowds. For whatever reason in the past, this has just not been a priority for the National organizers. That’s the only explanation I can think of.

Apparently they also ordered over $200k worth of new WiFi but only partially installed.

An early report from the Off Centered YouTube show indicates the new HVAC is a huge improvement and WiFi is as well (albeit with few people in the building two days ago). This guy started setting up on Tuesday. He also said there were more food options; but in the bad news department, the amount of seating still appears slim -- people can't spend money if they're sitting down, I suppose.
