Default PSA keep up the good work

PSA is doing a amazing job with their photo authentication. So far ive had 2 photos that were authenticated as Type 2's get cracked out and re-slabbed as Type 1's which were immediately put in Goldin. What was originally a $400 photo ended up selling for thousands . Also aware of 2 other people who had the same issue. Completely unacceptable and honestly f*cked up.

Congrats and good for you.

What did you mean by reslabbed as type I's? I'm not aware of another major authenticator that does photos.

I'm guessing the OP sold a couple PSA labeled Type 2 photos and the new owner cracked them out and resubmitted them to PSA. Photos are now labeled as Type 1s and for sale/auction at Goldin.

1) PSA incorrectly slabbed them as 2s the first time and the new owner took a chance getting the bump to 1s and is cashing in.

or

2) The photos are in fact 2s and now incorrectly labeled as 1s.

I actually owned them and they were both labeled Type 2. Ended up selling them and saw them on goldin months later slabbed as Type 1's. Same exact photos easily identified by unique markings on them and everything else. They were amazing early shots of Michael Jordan and were very valuable as a Type 1. Have submitted photos with AGFA paper and blank back photos which I was told by PSA they wouldnt authenticate because of that but then I see tons of examples pop up on Goldin slabbed. Its total bullsh*t. The PSA f*ckery needs to stop

Thanks for replying Brandon, now I completely understand what happened.

Sorry, it is a sad day when that kind of stuff happens, but unfortunately it happens frequently.

In this case we don't know who the culprit is. However, we do know who got screwed.

+1 please post evidence of this. Not doubting you, OP, at all. But these side by side comparisons are important and a good tool in warning against using PSA for photos.
