tintype dating

I would say ca. 1880 would be fair. I don't think you see those kind of hats much in the 1870's though you can't rule out late seventies. But it could be a tad later than that too.

Early 1880's
$650 for a "common" sixth plate tintype only showing 7 players is a lot.
