Default Trimmed T200 on eBay

Posted By: Ray

I purchased this card in early January from this same dealer. Sent it into SGC and it came back trimmed. Dealer refunded me my money but has put it back up on eBay without disclosing this info.

He has 100% feedback... He was very cordial to me... I don't know what to do... if i should even do anything.

Here are scans to prove I had the card submitted. Look at the crease on the front and the tape marks on back. Any assistance great appreciated. I don't know the ethics in handling this kind of situation. Thanks, Ray

I emailed him asking if it was ever rejected for trimming by a grading company. Just curious as to what the respone would be. I'll let you know if I get an answer.

Never heard of a T200 being trimmed before.

As a specialist in photos, I've learned that old photos often come with rough or ragged edges. And, guess what, there's nothing wrong with it. MastroNet often sells recently cleaned up old photos (they have been clear that they were recently cut). My thought with these has always has been that the photos don't look right and what's wrong with leaving the photos alone.

Many baseball card collectors have this abnormal fetish for super smooth edges. There's no way these collectors are getting enough sex.

Thanks Paul...

David, I was putting together an SGC T200 set registry. They wouldn't count the card since it was trimmed.

I just don't know why someone who has such solid feedback wouldn't disclose in his auction that the card was once rejected by SGC. Anyone else feel like the bidders should know this???

If the seller knows the card is trimmed and was rejected by SGC, of course the bidders should be told.

Wish this one wasn't trimmed but I bought it for a reasonable price from someone on the board because it still looks pretty nice to me

He replied very nicely thanking me for alerting him to his error in the listing, for forgetting to mention it was rejected for trimming. He ended the auction, & seems to be a good person, who just made a mistake. Thanks Ray.
