1976 Topps release question

Does anyone know or remember when the first boxes/packs of 1976 Topps baseball would have hit shelves? Did any hit before the end of 1975 or only in late winter/early spring of ‘76?

In the mid-1970s, Topps baseball cards consistently showed up at my local store the first Wednesday in February. I don't know whether that's true nationwide.

In the late summer/early fall 1975 in Warren, Michigan, I remember seeing 1974 Topps rack packs and 1975 Topps wax packs hanging/displayed at the end aisle of a shelf at Kmart near Ryan and 9 mile. There were no 1976 Topps.

I did buy a brand new unopened 1976 Topps box of wax packs as well as a partial box at a party store on Ryan road north of Fitzgerald High school in the spring (~March/April) of 1976. I was on the lookout for them and they did not come out in my community until the baseball season started. Keep in mind that I was a kid with a bike; my range of travel was limited. I do recall spending $11 (that figure sticks in my head) so I must have bought additional items. I still remember the look on the owner’s face. He actually hesitated to sell them to me because that was his entire inventory at the time! LOL 😆
