Just quickly looking over the winning bids including buyers premium. I was surprized that lot 692 Ruth Ball Auto graded 9 signature got no bids with a min. of $ 10000. LOA's from PSA/DNA and JSA. Why ? |

It's not prewar, but I'm surprised the PSA 4.5 1952 Topps Mantle "only" went for $10,000. The T205 Hoblitzell no stats at $3500 seemed a bit low as well. |

This is NO dig at Mastro. it wasnt to long ago when every major auction was $10M +, is it the economy or the lots? when i say the "lots" what i am specifically refering to are high dollar rare cards and the amount of them. |

One of the most shockingly high prices was the A35 Goodwin Round Album that went for $39,000 with the juice. And it was missing the grommet. What was that all about? Nice ones are usually in the 12K-15K range. |

The lots I followed had decent hammer prices - nothing incredible (with a few exceptions), but nothing shockingly low either. |

I lost the J=K Lajoie that I also lost 2 years ago in another auction. Went for about $2300 2 years ago and now $6K with juice. My comic book I consigned I got killed on. Paid $1K and it realized $475. Dan. |

Dan, when you've got unique or nearly unique cards I can't imagine that the bad economy will have that much of an impact because there are always a couple of people with enough money to drive the bidding up; however, on items that are easily found - no matter the grade - I think you're seeing a real impact on values. For example, look at the T206 Green Cobb PSA 5 that sold for $3600. |

If the buyer of Lot 1350 -- 1916 "H" and "D" Rare and Obscure Brands Graded Collection (12 Different), is interested in selling the Burgess-Nash Co. #176 Turner, I'm interested. |

Hey Guys, I thought the above card went for a cheap price since it is a Ruth 8 and 1 of 1. What does everyone else think. With the juice it came out to 25k. signed fessgreg |

Canadian Goudeys have never been that popular. While the card may be rare in high grade, so is the collector. |

Lot 692 Ruth single signed baseball is 100% authentic. The ball reached 39,000 after the BP which is a strong price. The 10,000 was the MB. Curious what the reserve was. |
