Default T206 Catchers?

Posted By: MVSNYC

i was scrolling thru Virual T206...and i was trying to determine who all of the Catchers are...obviously there are 5 cards which clearly show the players wearing gear:

Kleinow
McLean
Needham
Powers
Snodgrass

then, i was trying to see which other catchers i could identify looking at the different gloves pictured...i then cheated a bit, and checked-out baseball-reference.com...here is what i'm coming up with so far, any help would be great.

bergen
payne
phleps
stephens
graham, boston
schlei
street
jacklitch
marshall
myers

MVSYNC,

Were you a catcher in High School. I'm curious about your fascination with catchers. Let us know. However, don't tell me it's because you enjoyed reading Salinger's Catcher in the Rye in High School.

Peter

peter-

i was a catcher in HS, BUT to be honest my particular interest in T206 catchers is more for the amazing artwork of the cards and the nostalgic look of the vintage "gear"...

Wasn't Red Dooin the Phillies catcher? I think the e93 set shows him as a catcher.

Another high school catcher here! Despite wearing the "tools of ignorance," I loved the position, it was like being the quarterback in football.

Jay,

Catcher cards are not just cool, a good number of them are also undervalued. Catcher cards both stars and commons are solid buys as far as I'm concerned.
