Is this Ruth Blum's Bulletin the rarest of all Ruth issues?
I'm contemplating selling my complete set of Blum's Bulletins, but in attempting to set a price I'm not sure how to factor in this one. It is not the regular Ruth Blum's issue (which is 11 1/2 X 14) but something different (measuring 8 1/2 X 11 3/4). I have never seen another, but obviously that in itself does not make this a unique item. But is it?

Type 3 Super Premium
I found information on OldCardboard with 3 types 1,2, and 3 which is your Type 3 Ruth "Super Premium"..... and then I noticed that you were the one who supplied the information to the website! I would be interested to see what others have to contribute..... and looking forward to your sale of the set..... what a group! Rocky

Based on there being two other types, there is a logic to this one being called type #3. I think this thread will get very little input, as the the Blum's are way too esoteric of a release. I like collecting things that the opinion sellers won't accept money for their opinions of. |

Like Doug I have always enjoyed large format items. Premiums posters ads uncut sheets woodblock prints W601's. Stuff you can hang on your wall and share with Friends. As for Blums I had Blums Gehrig on my checklist for decades with no success. I only managed to grab one a Lajoie (currently on BST). Seems they were a small regional issue.
I would rank the Ruth in the same catagory as the R304 and the Gehrig as well as rare as the R304 or R301 meaning less than 5 known. But so rare that demand is low. So rare that no one collects them. Good luck with the sale of your set. I hope the new owner appreciates what he got his hands on.. Last edited by bigfanNY; 03-19-2024 at 08:44 PM. |
