1.)W516-1 Jess. Barnes with interesting L. A. Becker back. Apparently an enterprising salesman handwrote an offer on the back of many cards he distributed. Nice novelty. The card itself is really nice, unusual cut, but no creases and sharp carners. $25.00 shipped |

I picked up 3 of them probably from the same person- (2) Jess Barnes, and a Babe Adams. You may be right about the teacher thing, although he may be talking about the cards themselves as "tablets" -but there isn't a number or anything else he wrote on the cards to determine who would win the prize. Unless the "prize" went to the one earning (or collecting) the most cards... or should I say tablets. Anyways, interesting piece. |
