Default Was is psa so critical in grading t202 triple folders?

This has always been a mystery to me. I have 7's that look like 9's. Razor sharp corners, clean borders, nice backs, good centering. I even have a psa 6 mathewson that is razor sharp. Any thoughts or other experiences out there?

Maybe the extent to which they have been folded? Or improper placement of the folds from the factory? It's hard to say. I don't know if they take those things into consideration.

Perhaps you should post scans of the cards. It is hard to make an assessment without seeing what you are talking about.

Try crossing them to SGC. Your 7's that look like 9's will come back as 6's.
