I'm working on a drawing of Honus Wagner when he played for Louisville 1897-1899 and I'm trying to find out what a catcher's equipment would have been like at that time. My library is all post-1900 photos and the closest I have found is a photo of a catcher from 1904 and 1880's photos. I know the equipment evolved pretty fast at the turn of the century and I'm hoping someone here can help...
