Default Post Production Transfer

I picked up this seemingly innocent Evers in a recent lot... I was pretty sure that I had seen something interesting, but here's the card in it's raw form (full disclosure, I do plan on selling the card).

I was pretty sure that the "splotch" was more than that... so turn it upside down and mirror the image. Do I have a match?

This must be post production since Gandil is 460 series...

Erick, that's a cool card, but your graphic showing how Gandil was transferred is amazing!

These can be really cool. I recently picked up this one:

The back of my Keeler shows that it was stacked on top of a Kleinlow card and they got wet. I think the original collection must have recently hit the market, because the Chesbro below shows the same characteristics and is on ebay as well right now. It looks like a stack of N.Y. Amer cards got wet on the bottom right corner.

Full disclosure: I had this on the b/s/t but took it down after selling some other things. It may end up for sale in the future.

I wonder if the same is true here... a stack of Chicago players (National mixed with American).

This may be answered in another thread but do we know that cards from different series were printed at different times and if so how do we know that?

Based on trades and player poses I believe. Check out Scot Reader's "Inside T206" and t206resource.com for more info.

Amazing, Erick. I wonder how this will affect all the 'personal' theories of T206 production?

I agree. I've seen similar things with other backs transferring on the fronts of other cards.

It looks like wet ink, not like cards stacked and got wet.

+1. That looks like a normal wet sheet transfer.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.
