Default Soooo confused

So I went to the national and dropped off my 1947 Jackie Robinson Rookie Photo Pack card and my 1948 Robinson Photo Pack card as well ( Same Photo/Different Stock). I get a email today stating that both items shipped, however they said my 48 was a 49? How can that be? Then I check their population report and they have 5 different 49 photo pack cards to choose from with no photos. Am I missing something?

any idea what I should do about this? The 49 is a total different photo than the 47 and 48 correct?

What did Beckett say when you asked them?

Wow, the people who get paid for their opinions made a mistake about what the item was that they were giving you an opinion about?

Seems like a pretty good reason to not pay them for any more opinions, but I could be wrong.

There's "criteria" for grading cards, where's the criteria and training for qualifying the graders. Who makes them the experts? What type of certification is there?

Makes me wonder about it all.

So I call them and speak to a gentleman who says sometimes it's a error on the computer and to wait for the card to see it (which didn't make sense to me cause either way if the population report was off I'd be tight)

I get the card today and sure enough the 48 says 49. That is a pretty blatant mess up as the 49 is a total different photo than the 48. Anyways I call like I was instructed to and get a woman names Roxanne. She says to send it back with my next order. I said I do not have a next order. (starting to feel like what was about to happen was about to happen lol)

She then says ok, well we will not charge you to re-case it (oh thanks) or return the card to you (really?) but you are responsible for shipping it back to us and paying for shipping. (seriously) I run a ebay store and make about 20K a year and never would make a customer pay for shipping on my mistake. They make a bit more I'm sure. What kind of business is that? No offer of a free grading in the future or anything? It's not about the money, as I'm sure all of us can afford $10 to ship it back and a $10 free voucher, it's the principal.

I then told her I'm not paying to ship it back. She then says I need to speak to someone to see if maybe we can pay for it. I will send you a email in 10-30 mins. Ugh. I hate going on rants like this. I am usually laid back, but when big companies can't show compassion for the small guys it just rubs me the wrong way.
