Default John Brush Autograph Question

I have seen a couple different variations of John T Brush's autograph. Both variations have been authenticated by PSA. Just curious if anyone has any insight or thoughts on one versus the other?

Thanks,

Jon

The signature on the Promissory Note is obviously good. No comment on the non-ornate version, as I'm not familiar with that version. But if it is indeed authentic, I must say that this is the greatest level of variation I've seen in any person's signature.

This is an excellent question. All the ones I was led to believe are real are like the transfer item, the ornate version, and i have seen numerous examples like this. I have not seen the plain version.

Wikipedia says "Brush's health deteriorated quickly after becoming majority owner (of the NY Giants) in 1902, as he suffered from locomotor ataxia, a nervous system affliction, as well as rheumatism."

Brush died in 1912, so it may be that the "plain" version of his signature is from some time closer to 1912 as his condition deteriorated.

The New York pass is from his time with the Giants, so 1902 and possibly some time afterward.
