Default Babe Ruth Home Run Special Glove Box and Tag

Anyone ever see another one of these with the box and tag?

Sadly Im parting with it. It is up on
Heritage auction right now. Ends Sept 27.

Very cool but I’m not seeing a picture of the “string tag.” I would think that would be a selling point.

Great set, and you should have Heritage post a picture of the hang tag for sure.

Theses sets are pretty rare, and maybe you see them 2-3 times a decade in various iterations (they probably change hands more among glove collectors than directly at auction.)

The Spalding version, likely a bit rarer (with the full Ruth face on the cover), sold for an impressive number in the last year (on Heritage I believe), but, that money was likely all for the box. Box and glove condition are fairly important for most of these collectors.

Good luck!

Funny that it's specifically mentioned by Heritage in the description, but not pictured.

It’s pictured now and is definitely a “selling point.” 👍

So they either read this thread or they read my email requesting to add a picture of it...

And I'll bet you a dollar that soon after the auction ends an opinion seller will get paid to slab that die cut head...
