Default SOLD: 1887 N28 Allen & Ginter Joseph Mulvey PSA 2 - MBA GOLD DIAMOND

Fresher Grade PSA 2 - Clean Back - Can't figure out the grade on this one. I was so boggled on the grade that I took it to the National and MBA couldn't figure it out either. They awarded it the Gold Diamond.

The MBA Gold Diamond is reserved for the top 5% of cards of that grade. Mike Baker was PSA's first grader and developed their grading program. MBA Gold Diamond are become so sought by collectors that VCP is creating a label in their software to identify these sales.

Beautiful sharp card with clean registration.

Beautiful card! Without seeing it in hand, the grade is a head-scratcher.

Good luck with the sale!

OMG, that's a "2"? Another grading head scratcher.

I can't figure it out. I honestly think they need to just let AI do grading. At least it would be more consistent.

I'd crack the case, resubmit and when it comes back a much higher grade, tell them where they can shove that "MBA gold diamond". They should just do the right thing and regrade it for free. It's one of the nicest 2's I've seen. Maybe someone with a few stones will buy it and do just that.

Thanks Fred.

I have had such poor luck with grading lately.

Agreed
