Default Value Opinion T206 Cy Young Factory 42

Have an opportunity to buy a Pied 350-460/42 Cy Young glove shows in a PSA 2 that somehow sold in an eBay auction for $2200 back in June. Only 2 bidders. This is a very scarce back with a total PSA population of all grades of 6.

What do you think this card is really worth? I’ve been offered the card at double that price but still seems reasonable?

Another sold at auction for $2641 back in March. I don't think the actual value approaches $4K, but it's all about what people will pay for scarcity.

P42s are very tough but they don't get the prices of other, even less scarce backs, from my observation. Those auction prices were about right...maybe a tad low but not a lot.

Thanks Leon. They are definitely the Rodney Dangerfields of scarce backs.
