2004 Panini Sports #71 Lionel Messi RC PSA 8

Perhaps the hottest card in the hobby (modern anyhow). A PSA 10 reportedly sold privately for a million dollars. PSA 8s on ebay appear to be selling as high as 48. I'm as incredulous as the next person but it's true. 45K dlvd. if we can work out payment method, probably wire transfer. Open to discussion with serious buyers.

I remember passing on a Messi and Ronaldo "two for" sale. Both BGS 9.5 - $4000 for the pair.

Yeah, it hurts. I have, as we all do, a huge stack of regrettable "passes" that in hindsight just look so inexplicable.

Yeah - at one point i had about 5 or 6 of these. I knew it was best card of the best player on the planet. I sold them all but one PSA 8. I even sold one here, I think it was a 9. The guy that bought it I allowed him to pay me in installments. After getting close to the agreed upon price i foolishly sent him the card and he stopped paying me lol. It wasnt much but man I wish i had that one back!

I think you had an 8 listed here years ago. I stupidly passed on it. I've done OK on Messi though, bought the listed card at a still comparatively low price, sold a 9 #35 for like 5x in the pandemic, bought another one when it dropped all the way back, and now it's 5x or so again. Crazy hobby.
