Anything under $20 is not a bad price for one of these. Mine is '03 to I think '54. Lots of great info in these - first names, tons of stats, and some neat short stories about special occasions (no hitters for example).

Does anyone know offhand if there's an equivalent sort of thing for the early Southern Leagues? I would love to get my hands on one of those.

And when you get to ABE, search title with Southern Association and author with Evans, and there's a record book into the 40s that is what you want.

Be careful, there's a southern league football record book by a guy named Edwards.

I have a paperbound Vols book somewhere that has some records in it... can't recall the name, I'll try to find it.
