Did anyone pick anything up in Cleansweep? Was alot of nice stuff in the auction. I was gassed on a Ruth type card. I did win a Speaker Decal Bat and a small lot.

I won the hammered BS Gandil. Fits two holes a black sox and my set hole. I was happy it didn't go higher, but man it is beat. Well until a nicer one shows up I will deal.

Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.

I thought they went very inexpensive for Black Sox cards? I bid on many items but that is all I won.

What was the final price on the PSA 1 R337 Ruth?

It is hard to search past auction results on that website.

Wes,

The Ruth went for alittle over 1500 (I think) plus the juice.

Thanks Toby. I did find the link:

http://www.csauctions.com/item.cgi?show_item=0000282017

After the 20%, the winner will be paying $1892.40.

I won Branch Rickey --> Its an upgrade (if anyone wants a PSA 7 perfectly centered PLMK fast with an offer -- otherwise it will be on eBay starting Sunday)

Hi Brian, Long time no chat. I think you are right, provided that the winner got his bid in on time. Who knows. Clean Sweeps has some very interesting rules where the buyer fees vary depending on when the bid is placed:

"We have come up with what we hope is a partial solution to the un-ending auction problem. In order to discourage late bidding/sniping at extreme hours and to encourage bidding when everyone is (hopefully) awake, bids placed after 1:30 AM EST are subject to an additional buyers premium of 5%; bids placed after 2:30 AM EST are subject to an additional buyers premium of 10%. PLEASE NOTE THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO MAXIMUM BIDS LEFT UP UNTIL 1:29 AM."

Wesley -
Yes, I guess I should have qualified that. Hope you are well. It has been a long time. . .

I think its an interesting rule. I not sure if I like it or not. Nonetheless, I applaud Steve Verkman's willingness and creativity in trying to tackle the competing demands of ending auctions at reasonable times and not discouraging bidders to the detriment of the consignors.
