Name the only player (that I am aware) that had a career batting average of .300 or more in 4 different circuits/Major Leagues?
EDITED: I am talking about early Leagues, like before the AL/NL, not Negro Leagues or summer leagues or PCL. Last edited by cgjackson222; 11-15-2023 at 08:44 AM. |

That's a great guess, but I think Irvin only played in 1 Negro League (National Negro League II).
But to clarify, I wasn't including the Negro Leagues. But if someone knows of a Negro League Player that accomplished the feat, I'd be very interested in knowing who he is. Last edited by cgjackson222; 11-14-2023 at 05:50 PM. |

Sorry, on the SABR page I was looking at, they referred to pre AL/NL Leagues as circuits, but I think it would be clearer to just call them Leagues.

I recall this trivia question some time in the last few years...as I said...I recall the question...
I peeked...thinking it may have happened in the 19th century, but no joy. Give it up...
