I collect the set and need these. I wouldn't get them due to price but don't these look off despite the PSA slab? All same seller? Opinions greatly appreciated

PSA got it right. They're fine. Latter-day examples. Absolutely nothing looks off about those, other than Ted wasn't at his healthiest at this point.

I can imagine his idiot son shoving these in his face to sign.

They're still better than the balls that DiMaggio's attorney shoved into his hands to literally sign on his deathbed. The worst part is how that man was fine with recounting the story of it in his book. Seeing those baseballs always makes me incredibly sad. I don't know how anyone with a heart could possibly stand to have such a thing in their possession.

At one point in the early 90's. Ted William's son opened a store in the Mall at Chestnut Hill Mass. Just outside of Boston. He had 100's of baseballs, bats and replica Ted Williams shirts all signed by Ted. Of course, they were all overpriced. I don't recall the store being around too long.

The whole saga of John Henry Williams is positively Shakespearean. But my God, the guy was handsome! I got to hang with him a little at the '69 Senators reunion show at Chantilly in 1998 and he took my copy of the Glory of Their Times audio set up to the stage where his dad was signing and gave it to him, and Ted nodded approvingly. That, and having dinner about ten feet away from the head table at the banquet for the players the night before was as close as I ever got to meeting Ted Williams, sadly.
