You want an inexpensive "card" from the 19th c.?
Lot 1: 1887 Scrapps [I think; please correct me if I get any designations wrong] Curtis Welch: This is not the hall-of-famer Mickey but his brother Curtis Welch, St. Louis outfielder, as is written lightly in pencil on the back. Card is in Poor condition; I think missing some below the neck, but at least the face is still beautiful 19th c. lithography. Opening bid is $25. Auctions end Saturday, 10/11, at 10 pm EST [10:00 time-stamp good; 10:01 not]. Bids must be in whole dollar increments. S/H $1 in a pwe, or $5 if you prefer tracking. As Per Lucky Larry's policy with a pwe, I'll split the cost with the buyer if it's lost. Lot 2: W572 Billy Southworth [h-o-f manager; not that many cards from his playing days. Edwyn Reisman autographed back. Opening bid: $17. Lot 3: 1928 W502 Game Back, #32 Max Carey, scrapbook residue on back. Opening bid, $20. Lot 4: W516-1-2 Clyde Milan. Opening bid, $1. Lot 5: W514 Max Carey. Opening bid, $20. Last edited by dougscats; 10-12-2025 at 07:04 AM. |

The Southworth is a W572. The Careys are correct at w502 and w514. The Milan is a W516-1-2, as evidenced by the reversed logo. Best of luck with the sale.
