June Pickups
Just starting collecting vintage "playing days" autographs from my childhood heroes. Picked up below Willie Mays this week from Net 54 Scott Forrest.
He was extremely helpful with this acquisition and very fair price as well. Shout out to Jim Stinson who is also always helpful in answering questions and willing to offer his expert advice as well. Thanks to both of you !! Phil

June pickups
I was recently able to pick up a couple of nice vintage signed items that will be a nice fit for my no-hitter collection:
From the net54 BST, 1938 vintage signed snapshot of Johnny "Double No-Hit" Vander Meer. The one year uniform style makes it easy to narrow down the year it was taken. FWIW, I suspect that this photo was possibly taken on the Reds road trip to Pittsburgh in early July, 1938, just after Vander Meer hurled his back-to-back no-hitters in June of '38. From eBay, a vintage signed Rex Barney 1949 Bowman baseball card. On September 9, 1948 Rex Barney no-hit the visiting NY Giants 2-0. Love adding these fountain pen sigs to my personal collection!
