Worst Baseball Player of All Time
This list has him as #2, but that appears exclusively because of the notoriety associated with the name Mario Mendoza, who is listed as #1. So, yes, it does appear, exclusive of the notoriety factor, Bill Bergan may be considered the worst baseball player of all time!

Worst hitter is more like it
Bill didn't stay in the majors for a good many years because of his hitting. But apparently he was one of the best defensive catchers of the era- at a time when catching defense was a huge part of the game.

That is awesome, he is also 1 of 6 T206 players in my collection.
Great description Scott(seller is a member)! |

It's such an unfair label and technically impossible for Bergen to be tops in the list. He was a catcher for 10 plus years in an era where not too many catchers lasted that long.
