Default Show your T206 freaks, errors, and scraps

This thread goes out to a few Goonies I know....

I am sure there are (many) past threads on the topic, so apologies for the redundancy, but really what is one more T206 thread?!

Aside from the Magie, the Doyle NY Nat'l, and Brown Old Mills, I am not an error/scrap/freak collector, but I know there are many on here who are. There are also many new users who I thought may want to see some freaks and learn more about them.

Here are my only three error/freaks, all acquired because they have Brown Old Mill advertisements on them; and one has a Cy Young Portrait Ghost Image to boot.

Lets see those freaks, errors, and scraps!

These two are what I have to offer before much more impressive ones come down the pike. An offset Donovan with Donovan being both on top and bottom on front and portion of another card on the back, and a Magee Sweet Caporal 460 missing the overprint.

is that Magee Sweet Caporal 460 missing the overprint very rare? To someone like me who isn't a Magee collector, I would have no clue at all.

Just won this off the Bay...to me it looks like a scrap given the uneven cut and off centeredness of the back. Thoughts on this? I don't have it in hand yet.

I don't remember seeing on here, or elsewhere, another Sweet Caporal T206 of ANY player that is missing the overprint.

Then again, my memory and vision ain't what it used to be.

The Donovan that MVSNYC posted is the Major League oddity compared to my minor league Donovan curiosity.

Recently picked up this Street. Pondering whether to keep or sell it, as it's a Piedmont back and I'm working towards an off-back set...
I wasn't able to find much in the way of comparisons. There was a two-faced Hugh Duffy recently on bst, but that was a graded, Sovereign, HOFer, with the name shifted as well...Any thoughts on how to classify this (ghost, shift, etc.)? Any thoughts on possible added value for the rarity?
Thanks!
-Ryan

Nice cards, guys.

Ryan, that's a printing "shift" (not a ghost), and a great one at that.

Nice to see this thread revived. Here's a few other printing errors I have...

Just got a Young Bare Hand with name on top on consignment. Not the craziest thing I've seen but a good clean name on top with nothing on bottom, so a nice example.

Re-reading through this thread, and looking at all the images again, was the most enjoyable time I've spent on Net54 lately.

Butler scrap with a green print layer from Paddy Livingston(e) and an upside down ghost image on the front. I haven't been able to decipher if the ghost is Butler or someone else.

Love this card, and I'm so happy it was someone else from Net54 who snagged it before I could!

(The Dougherty from the same seller is safely ensconced in my collection, at least. =))

Congrats on the Dougherty Morrie. I saw it when it was listed and I'm still not sure why I didn't grab it then. When I went back to purchase it, it was gone I'm glad that you got it.
