I get that Upper Deck was a butcher, but...
...this one really bothered me. As a collector of signed pre-war cards, the 1960s Fleer sets are a nice way to grab an old superstar's signature on a relatively old baseball card. Why cut this one up -- particularly this way, with this level of absentmindedness or overall care -- when you are only creating another baseball card? This is truly one step closer to getting a T206 Wagner and chopping it up for inclusion in 100 baseball card swatches. Yuck...

What???
Dammit, I need that card! One less in the world. Why would you buy a card like that and cut it up? That's just f***ing stupid. I guess that's why they only have the Hockey license anymore, baseball, football and basketball don't want anything to do with them.

That SUCKS!!!! it's one thing to cut up a jersey but to cut up a card to make another (less desirable) card? Oh, the humanity! At long last, Upper Deck, have you no sense of decency?

Ugh.
I can see taking a signed index card and incorporating into a "cut signature" card, but slicing up an already autographed card to create a "special edition of 8" is just ridiculous. And note that the edition size isn't for eight identical cards, just eight cards with the signature. Were there no more available signed index cards?
Here's number 2/8 that is on a HOF postcard? |

Reminds me of the Leonardo cut sig I picked up recently. Hope it wasn't a good painting.

A funny one (not in the good sense) was a modern certified autograph card that had the signature cut from a different modern certified autograph card.
