Default B & L Auctions Live

Even though there aren't any E105s, this looks to be another great auction.

Thanks for the positive responses, we feel this is one of our stronger auctions. The opening bids can be deceiving, most are very low for the end value of the item and there are NO reserves hidden or otherwise, there are some very low pop and scarce/rare cards in this auction. Every lot will sell for the minimum bid or whatever level it attains.

And yes that 52 Topps Mays is super nice for the grade, as are many of the other PSA and SGC cards in this auction. Most come from collectors that bought them for eye appeal, centered with nice color, not dealers looking to flip low end cards that barely made it into a holder.

Anyone can still register at www.b-lauctions.com and have 12 days in which to bid.

Scott

Happy to scratch this one off the want list. Love everything about it. The pose; he kind of looks like a vampire and its the closet I'll get to his T206. The colors; not many cards out there with pink shirts.

Thanks for the wonderful auction.

Great pickup. I have always loved the Plank card from the M116 set because of its resemblance to the iconic T206 card.

Default Odds & Ends

I threw in some low ball bids and won a few items. Grabbed the cdv for my pre 1880's sports collection. Not sure if I will keep or sell the other items.

Brown Ink back instead of the normal black. I've only seen a few of them, most of them from this thread

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=122466

The one in the auction is one of the stronger brown inks I've seen

Very cool. Thanks for the explanation. I had not heard of those before. Kind of like T206 Old Mill backs. Great grab.

I was able to plug a couple of holes in sets with cards you don't see too often- the orange background E98 Mack and the D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit Carlisle. Enjoyed the auction, thanks L & S.

As a bidder, I love that.... But I think the consignors weren't as thrilled.

Scott and I both bid and consign to as many auctions as almost anyone. There is no perfect way to end. We think the individual ending is better for our auctions but it's not much different, in the end, than most of other ways to end. Whoever bids the most wins.

One thing I do want to mention is that we put out an email that said we do take paypal and cc, and that was a mistake. We don't. As always we take checks, cashiers checks and money orders.....as we always have. Thanks to all who participated.

I like the format of each item ending by itself. I was able to go to bed @11pm after picking up 3 on my want list...other auctions if you go to bed at 2am you still aren't sure if you will win or not. It's more about who can stay up longer than anything else...

I dropped out of 3-4 others when the bidding got too high (for me). I personally think there were a lot of deals to be had.

Won 2 lots, but not the one I really wanted.

Like others, I enjoyed my beauty rest.

I've always wondered, that if I get lucky in one of these auctions and win, do I get Brockelman too?

Default Fell asleep

Well I came up short on two items. My own fault, fell asleep, when I woke up at 10:55 lots were already closed. Wasn't the first time and won't be the last.

Congrats to everyone who won items! A very nice auction!
