Foxx & Tinker Opinions
I could use some feedback on this pair of signed cards. Likelihood of authenticity?

100% no to Tinker. Foxx looks better but there is so much hesitation and done so slow that I would hesitate on that too. see below

Does it look like the Foxx was done with a sharpie?

Foxx looks like it was done with a flair. The Tinker looks like it was done with either a fountain pen where the nib was separated or one of those 1980's/1990's fibre point pens that would always split apart and give you the extra lines when you wrote anything.

Those are nib marks on the Tinker. The nib tines spread apart when you increase the pressure on the pen.
The tines were sharp enough to scratch the surface of the card and that embedded the ink deep inside the paper fibers, like a permanent tattoo. But the ink in the middle of the lines faded and washed away over the years. Probably because the paper was glossy and just didn't absorb the ink. Leaving a traced appearance. |
