Football cards with a lot of green coloring
I am looking to make a 1965 Topps Joe Namath mosaic. Keeping with the vintage look, I will be using 1988 Topps Traded for the yellow background, 1991 Pinnacle for the black, but need help with the green. I feel that the green in the 1991 Stadium Club is too glossy and would take away from the vintage look. Any suggestions on other cards that have a lot of green on them?image3.jpg

88 Score has a whole section of the set with green borders. It may be a bit too bright for a 60's Jets uniform.
85 Topps is mostly green on the back no gloss at all. But it's got lots of red too. Most sets have photos with lots of field showing in the background. |

Was just looking, and while it's not cards, it's close. 91 Score series 1 boxes have huge areas that are just green, and it's probably pretty close to right.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I will be using most of them to get the various greens in the jersey.
It is my second football artwork (with the other being an Elway rookie) so I am still trying to figure out which football cards to use for each color. Take care and have a wonderful week, and please keep your suggestions coming too. |
