Dodgers Batting Helmet
I am a fan of the Dodgers and came across this photomatch of James Looney batting helmet.
What do you think? |

It's tough to see most of it, but that dark marking on the white 'LA' connector is quite compelling.

Here's my bucket: https://www.flickr.com/photos/152396...57685904801706 I was such a dangerous hitter I even got intentional walks during batting practice. Casey Stengel Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s. Overpaying yesterday is simply underpaying tomorrow. Last edited by JollyElm; 05-18-2012 at 10:04 PM. I agree! The mark on the the LA logo cinches it for me.
Good photo match! |

Do you think 300 is to much money?

That price sounds about right... If you would list it for $299, and have a "Best Offer" option, I would think that $250 - $275 would be acceptable.
A star player, but not likely a future HOFer. The photomatch adds lots of value.... would probably be about a $150 piece without it. If you list it, just be sure to get his name right (Loney - not Looney). You might miss a lot of potential searches with that mis-spelling. Hope this helps. |

I just assumed you were looking to sell it. If you are asking whether $300 is too much (as a prospective buyer), only you can determine how much it means to you. If I were a Loney fan, and in the market for his helmet (and saw the photomatch), I would not hesitate to drop the $300. Seems like a rare opportunity.
But I would still probably offer $250 first (assuming there's a best offer option available). Most sellers build a little "cushion" into their selling price. Market value is often hard to determine when there's a nice photo-match like this. Either way, best of luck! Last edited by perezfan; 05-18-2012 at 12:16 PM. |

Loney
$300 is not too much money if you're a James Loney collector, IMHO.
This seems reasonable to me. Last edited by Scott Garner; 05-18-2012 at 05:29 PM. Reason: Brain fart- I confused James Loney with Matt Kemp. Sorry all you Dodger fans. Obviously KEMP is the MVP caliber player! |
