This is directed at Leon or one of the web gurus. I wasn't sure if something wasn't operating properly, or if I didn't use it correctly. I wanted to email someone about an item in the BST section, so I right clicked on their name and the option to email came up. So I typed in an email about the item, hit send and waited. After a few hours I posted to the board asking if the email was received. The individual said they had not received my email. So, what happened? Isn't the system supposed to automatically pick up the email we provided when we registered and use that address to send the person a message?

That's exactly how it should work (other then left clicking on the person's username instead of right-clicking
![]() Edited to say: Looks like you were emailing someone with a bellsouth.net email extension. I tried a board email to them as well, so we'll see. Also, anyone else using a bellsouth.net email address that we could use for sending a test email? Last edited by Matt; 06-09-2009 at 04:18 PM. |

Here's the story. This was an issue akin to the issue that Yahoo email account users had that was identified and fixed when the new board opened. There was a communication block between our host and the email system (in this case, bellsouth.net) so that emails sent through the forum to those with bellsouth.net email addresses have not gone through. Since we only have 4 or 5 members with bellsouth email accounts, it wasn't apparent until Jimmy pointed it out above (thanks!). We have since worked with our provider and I have confirmed this morning that the issue has indeed been resolved. I believe Neal aka greenmonster66 was the only bellsouth.net user who had anything for sale in the BST, so if you emailed him through the forum and he never got back to you, it's because he never got your emails.
